  James Wilcox African-American Undergraduate Scholarship
Criteria  This $5000 scholarship is offered to African-American students with an interest in pursuing a degree in accounting and attend an accredited two or four-year college or university in Florida.

  The James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship Fund
Criteria  This scholarship is available to outstanding high school seniors who are the son, daughter, or grandchild of an active, retired, disabled, deceased or laid-off Teamster member who has had at least twelve months of consecutive membership and good standing in the Teamsters Union. You must be in the top 15 percent of your high school graduating class, have, or expect to have, excellent ACT/SAT scores, and plan to attend an accredited college or university to be eligible for this award. Financial need will also be considered for this award.

  Orphan Foundation of America - Casey Family Programs
Criteria  Applicants must have been in foster care for one consecutive year at the time of their 18th birthday, or have been adopted or taken into legal guardianship out of foster care, or upon the death of their parents after their 16th birthday, or have lost both parents to death before the age of 18 and not been subsequently adopted or taken into legal guardianship. Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of merit and need, and funding levels are determined based on cost of attendance and other resources.
Instructions  Eligible students need to complete the online application before March 31, 2010. You must also complete paperwork which will be e-mailed upon successful submission of the online application. The postmark deadline is April 15, 2010 for the required paperwork.

  PHCC Foundation Scholarships
Criteria  Students must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours to be considered for a PHCC Foundation scholarship. Top Ten (10 percent) and VAL/SAL recipients must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours. Only one PHCC Foundation scholarship will be awarded per student per academic year, unless special circumstances arise.
Instructions  Applications are accepted from January through the second Friday in April for priority consideration for the fall term. This deadline does not apply to specific scholarships that may become available during the year.

Criteria  Available to one graduating high school senior from each public high school in the following counties: Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Desoto, Glades, Hardee, Hendry, Hernando, Hillsborough, Lee, Levy, Mantee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Sumter. Student must be planning to attend a state university, community college, or vocational center.
