Purpose statement

Arts and Sciences students in libraryThe purpose of this division is to provide the first two years of liberal arts education in the arts and sciences in order to meet the Associate in Arts degree requirements necessary to transfer into baccalaureate programs; to provide those courses necessary within the Associate in Science degree and related certificate programs; and to provide developmental education courses in English, reading, and mathematics.
