Academic programs

PHCC studentsAt Pasco-Hernando Community College, you can choose from three associate degrees and more than 40 high-demand career programs. You'll learn from experts in their fields using the latest technology so you'll have the skills to succeed in the job market. An Associate in Arts degree from PHCC is equivalent to the first two years of a bachelor’s degree and is transferable—guaranteed—to any state university in Florida. Whatever your career path, you'll learn in a personal and caring atmosphere with plenty of one-to-one attention from our dedicated faculty and staff.

College credit programs

  • Associate in Arts degree
    A 60 credit hour program designed to prepare students for transfer to a university.
  • Associate in Science degree
    A 62 credit hour program designed to prepare students for employment in select fields. Most AS programs are not designed for transfer to university.
  • Associate in Applied Science degree
    A two-year program designed to prepare students for immediate entry into the workforce. The AAS degree option is not designed for transfer to the university level.
  • High school programs
    • Dual enrollment
      Dual enrollment students receive high school and college credit for applicable courses. College credit and books for the courses are free.
    • Tech Prep
      Tech Prep students gain work experience through internships, apprenticeships, career mentoring programs, and job-shadowing opportunities, organized through the schools.

Technical credit programs

  • Technical credit certificate
    Technical credit certificate programs provide streamlined training in select occupational fields. Students in these programs earn technical credit. Upon successful completion, students are eligible for positions in the field or are prepared to take necessary licensing exams for certification.

Noncredit programs

Pasco-Hernando Community College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the Associate Degree.
